Leading Interactive eLearning Software Raptivity Continues Rapid Growth as it Celebrates Fifth Anniversary

Award-winning platform being used by companies and universities in 57 countries

February 10, 2011

REDMOND, Wash. – Five years ago, Harbinger Knowledge Products launched a cutting-edge eLearning software product designed to help instructors engage students with creative interactions. Since then, Raptivity has grown into one of the world’s top educational and training platforms with customers in 57 countries around the globe.

Harbinger launched Raptivity in early 2006 with the objective of making it easy for corporate trainers and academic instructors alike to create fun, interesting and compelling interactive content. Over the years, the software platform has been expanded and enhanced with more than 245 eLearning interactions to its template library.

Raptivity’s popularity has resulted in rapid growth for Harbinger Knowledge Products and earned the company international acclaim. Over the past three years, Harbinger has generated revenue growth of more than 70 percent, thanks in large part to the popularity of Raptivity.

Red Herring magazine last year named Harbinger one of the world's top 100 private technology companies. And the consulting firm Deloitte recently named Harbinger among the fastest growing technology companies in its Technology Fast 500 Asia Pacific for the third year in a row.

"Raptivity has changed the face of e-Learning in these five years," said Vikas Joshi, chairman and managing director of Harbinger Group, the parent company of Harbinger Knowledge Products. "We're very proud of the recognitions and accolades we've received over the past five years. I think the honors are a testament to the uniqueness and value Raptivity has brought to the educational and training marketplace."

While Raptivity's customer base began with education, it now is being used in a wide variety of vertical markets, including healthcare, government, high tech, publishing and other industries. Customers include leading companies and institutions from across these globe, such as Harvard University, John Deere, Xerox, Australian Federal Police and many others.

"We are very excited to have had such strong interest in Raptivity over the past five years, and its ever changing features," said Seema Chaudhary, president of Harbinger Knowledge Products. "The eLearning industry is constantly evolving, and we’re proud that we’ve been able to be at the forefront of the industry, having a real impact on learning."

The interactions in Raptivity include games, simulations, diagrams and video among others. They come in various packs that can be purchased separately, depending on the need of the customers. Over the past year, Raptivity has expanded with support for mobile publishing. Course creators can now publish course material for mobile phones that have Flash player support. More recently, the product announced HTML5 support for iPhone and iPad devices.

To celebrate the fifth anniversary of Raptivity, Harbinger has announced special pricing offers. There are five offers available on Raptivity software and packs throughout the month of February. To learn more about Raptivity and its anniversary celebrations, visit www.raptivity.com.
